About Michel Abstracto
Michel Abstracto is a freelance cartoonist and comic book illustrator. Abstracto has worked in the professional illustration industry for 10+ years in both a self-publishing capacity and in collaboration with other creators. Abstracto attended both the San Francisco Art Institute for illustration & Full Sail University for animation. Abstracto utilizes the skills they have built over the past 33 years and their interests in science fiction & fantasy to create stories to both intrigue and tickle the mind. Outside of art, Abstracto was a certified Peer Support Specialist for three years with a personal history of surviving addiction, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, and Borderline Personality Disorder. Abstracto is also a Dialectical Behavior Therapy graduate.
About Borderline Nerdy
Borderline Nerdy is a semi-autobiographical, often leaning on comical, comic strip series based on the life experiences of the cartoonist, Michel Abstracto, and their neurospicy tribe. Borderline constructed the name of the strip out of their diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder and their passion for nerdy culture. Abstracto intends for this comic strip to act as both entertainment for the viewer and as a generalized education/awareness of mental illness by sharing their story & utilizing things that Abstracto has personally experienced.
